Bike Mike tighten the belt...

"Here is what I don’t do: I offer absolutely no service to high maintenance personalities. High maintenance requiring people and me is a potential highly explosive cocktail there never works well."

I am sick & tired of those few tourists from hell and try another attempt to send them down the road to annoy another operator.

Here is the writing on the wall all guests now receive as part of the booking confirmation mail:

Your Bike Mike tour experience starts here…
I am Bike Mike. Cycling is in my blood. My passion for cycling, exploring, history and my country, Denmark, has made: Bike Copenhagen with Mike. My tours are only about: a cycling experience on the streets of my hometown, Copenhagen and storytelling, where I as the local share facts and stories about Copenhagen & Denmark, as I see it all. So my bike tour is a cycling story tale led by a local and not a guided bike tour with a professional guide. Local touch. Not tourist guide touch. Local touch. My spirit, mind and heart has root in Denmark, I think in Danish and Danish is my mother tongue though tour language always is in my poor English (Dinglish). So you are signed up on the right experience, if you want a cycling story tale with focus on Copenhagen/Denmark. That’s what I do and love doing. Here is what I don’t do: I offer absolutely no service to high maintenance personalities. High maintenance requiring people and me is a potential highly explosive cocktail there never works well. Now you are warned. The rules on my tour apply for everyone, everyone that is. Joining my tour I expect from all guests: have read & understood & accepted “how it works…”
bikecopenhagenwithmike.dk/how-it-works/.
Straight shooting I am and that goes too when telling the stories on tour. I am street soul rock-n-roll. Not polished suburban muzak.
General service. Only self service. No restroom facilities are available at my shop. Nearest public restroom is two blocs away next to City Hall, a five minute walk each way. Good choice of cafes in my area i.e. “Next Door Café” if you come early & wish for a drink before the tour. Supermarket “Netto” has all supermarkets have & is just 50 meters away. Use street rubbish bins for your cups & any other throw away items.

Copenhagen summer can be a challenge but when on tour with a local, you'll never be far from sheltering safe & dry from a summer hailstorm.

I did the tour with Mike last Friday morning and I have to tell you the truth: Dissapointing.
From the begininng Mike was rude when I asked him for a toilette before the tour.
The tour was nothing special and in each stop he started explaining before everyone had come...so you were lucky if you heard all the explanations.
I hope Mike can be improve this thing in the future, but at the moment his tour does not worth at all 41 euros!
He should be also on time( not 10 minutes late), especially if he has to give the bikes to the people( 15 minutes more).
Not nice at all

Reviews tell what I feel myself: Bike Copenhagen with tours are in top shape for the summer...

"I did your bike tour last Sunday afternoon and I just wanted to write to you to express my heartfelt thanks for providing such a surprising, uplifting, wildly entertaining, and totally authentic experience of your beautiful city. Your finale tribute to 'Father Denmark' was especially moving, only topped by your willingness to indulge our group with a Danish folk song!
As a formerly committed cyclist who has (in recent years) 'lost his faith', I take my hat off to your passion, your exuberance, and your obvious joy for living and the bike. As the French cycling fans might say "Chapeau BikeMike!" - your bike tours should be on the 'bucket list' of every global traveler, you really are that good.
Thanks again, Jono"
